New training room at Morley

The training room at our service centre now has four VR-7 beds, two VR-5 beds and a VR-A4 test rig, so every delegate on a technical course works on a bed of their own.

The technical training room at our Morley service centre has reopened after a refurbishment, with room for eight delegates on each course.

Delegates now work in pairs on four VR-7 beds and two VR-5 beds, each with its own service laptop, and on a VR-A4 test rig with a pump that can be made to show each of its alarms. A ceiling hoist lets delegates practise the checks that need a load on the platform.

Level 1 and Level 2 technical courses for hospital engineers have been revised at the same time. Level 2 now includes the battery change and charge profile procedure for lithium-ion packs, and a session on reading the bed’s event log.
